About the Course
The course opened in 1995 and was designed by Willard Byrd. Bayonet is owned by Carolina Turf Farms, Inc., a family that has been growing turf for three generations. That’s why you drive past acres of sod on the way in, and why the course is always in great shape. Puppy Creek runs through the course four times. The Hooters Tour played here three times in the late 1990s. It’s a course with real history.
Our Partnership
Bayonet at Puppy Creek has been a key partner for First Tee Sandhills this year. We’ve hosted our Spring, Summer, and Fall programs there, along with our STEM programs. Thanks to this partnership, more families in the Raeford area get to be part of First Tee. Thank you, Bayonet, for your continued support!
From The Head Pro
“The staff and interns with the First Tee are always very friendly and do a great job keeping the kids engaged with a variety of activities. We are blessed to have the facility space to accommodate camps with little to no interruption to our daily operations. The days of the camp are hands off for our staff because of the great work of the First Tee! I love to see young people outside embracing the game of golf and would like to see Bayonet become a go-to place where families and their children can come and enjoy the great game of golf!”
