Sponsor a Child, Sponsor a Class at The First Tee of the Sandhills in 2016
From birdies to triple bogeys, golf closely parallels real life as players experience the highs and lows of the game. The First Tee helps shape the lives of kids and teens from all walks of life by introducing them to values inherent in the game of golf.
In addition to learning fundamentals of the golf swing and the game, our character education and life skills programs help kids and teens prepare for success at school, at home and in their community.
Our Life Skills Curriculum Focuses on how to:
• Manage emotions
• Set goals
• Resolve conflicts
• Communicate with others
In an effort to make our programs the most outstanding and affordable for our participants and their families, we have set our program fees as low as possible. Currently all Life Skills Curriculum registration fees are $50.
We understand that many families may not presently be in a position to provide payment, therefore scholarships are available for 50 and 100% of the cost, providing families in need with support.
The awarded scholarships are approved on a need basis and criteria is similar to other assistance programs such as our public school’s free and reduced lunch program.
All scholarship participants are afforded the same opportunities for participation as non-scholarship participants. Participants awarded curriculum program scholarships are expected to meet our minimum attendance requirements.
By Sponsoring A Class through The First Tee of the Sandhills, your support will help offset the cost to operate our after school character education programs while also providing a financial scholarship for The First Tee participants, in need.
