Mike grew up in Pontiac, Michigan. After joining the Army and becoming a paratrooper, he moved to Fayetteville to continue his training and career. Mike always had an interest in golf so when his term of service ended and his wife’s coworker suggested First Tee, he knew it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass on. Mike wanted to share his love and knowledge of the game with the next generation.
“I wish I’d had the opportunity to do this as a child, so I’m thrilled that I can introduce a younger generation to the sport. My favorite moments from the spring season were when I was out coaching at Gates Four Golf & CC. When I would see a kiddo struggling with a chip or putt, I would give them a word of advice and encouragement. Seeing them apply it and cheering after a good shot makes it worth it.”
