Sandhills First Tee Families!
The USGA has offered an amazing opportunity for First Tee Kids and Teens to attend the US Women’s Open Championship on Saturday, June 4.
Some of the activities participants will get to enjoy include:
- Kids & Teens Clinic hosted by US Women’s Open Participants
- On Course Scavenger Hunt
- Junior Tent Fun & Games
- On Site Food & Beverage
We anticipate leaving a designated drop off point in the parking area at Sandhills Community College by 1:00pm, riding the USGA provided shuttle to the event and returning for parent pick up by 5:00pm. Participants will be chaperoned by First Tee staff and coaches.
Is your child eligible to be selected? This experience is open to rising 3rd graders through High School-ers who have the ability to walk a minimum three (3) miles on a hilly golf course while combating the summer weather and elements. Please keep in mind if your child is selected to attend they will be representing First Tee – Sandhills and golf course etiquette is expected, as this is the third round of a major championship.
Interested kids and teens must answer the short question and have the below form completed by a parent or guardian no later than Friday, May 27th. Selected participants will be notified on Tuesday, May 31st and will receive additional details regarding what to wear, what to pack, and more!
