We are excited to be the organizing body to share this opportunity with your teenagers!
The AJGA has invited teen participants to participate in the ‘Day in a Life’ Program at the AJGA Preview Tournaments.
This program is designed to give the younger generation (ages 14-18) an opportunity to be introduced to a career path in golf outside of playing the game. The AJGA will showcase the business side of golf in areas like Tournament Administration, Tournament Operations and Communications. All while watching the next generation of juniors compete in a national tournament!
Teens will be able to interact with the Tournament Director and AJGA staff to learn the ins and outs of running a golf tournament. Activities will include, but not limited to:
- How to properly set-up a golf course and the facility for a tournament
- Staring and Scoring
- Rules Officiating
- Pace of Play
- Player Interaction with Media Team

There are two tournament weekends at two separate locations available for your teen to choose from. Participants are welcome to attend all three (3) date options! Please note, attending two days at the same location will result in the same experience. If you are interested in attending one date at each location, your exposure will vary. Spots are limited and available on first register, first serve basis.

Saturday, March 29th at Carolina Trace Country Club – Lake Course
The Details
- Drop Off Time: 8:00am
- Pick Up Time: 12:00pm (Noon)
- Attire: Weather Appropriate Golf Clothes – Collared Shirts
- Cost: There is no cost to attend any of the listed dates!
*The AJGA will provide lunch to all participants, with water easily accessible throughout the day. Each participant will also receive an AJGA gift bag at the end of the day.
Please note, parents are are welcome to stay on property but will be asked to keep their distance from the group activities and their teen.
