First Tee – Sandhills is open to all juniors between the ages of 5 to seniors in high school. For summer programs, participants register based upon their age as of June 30, 2025. Class exceptions for age will not be made. We apologize in advance if this impacts your family. Please be sure to check out our programs FAQ’s page for more information related to classes and camps.
*Please note, moving forward 5 – 6 year old programs will only be offered in the summer.
Summer Camp Themes
Tiny Tees
Tiny Tees will introduce golf fundamentals through familiar games like tic-tac-toe putting and limbo chipping! During this three (3) hour camp, kids will utilize SNAG equipment and real golf clubs, progressing through putting, chipping, and full swing activities.
Golf & Game Changers
Whether you are new to golf, or looking to build upon your skills, Golf & Game Changers for ages 7-13 will be an exciting and active week of camp! During this four (4) hour camp, participants will focus on golf skills and fundamentals through the lens of other fun games and activities! Kids will also be exposed to First Tee’s Life Skills Experience curriculum through these interactive games and activities.
Golf & STEM
Open to participants ages 10 and older, this unique STEM camp has been jointly developed by First Tee – Sandhills and the USGA. This year’s Summer Camp theme will engage participants in ‘Energy, Motion , and the Game of Golf’ at a golf course. Hands-on daily STEM activities will spark curiosity, enhance problem-solving skills, and make learning engaging through exploration and experimentation. In addition to the educational aspects, kids will enjoy playing their favorite First Tee golf games.
Golf & STEM Camp includes a field trip to the USGA Outdoor Testing Pavilion at No. 10 on Friday of camp week.
Girls on The Green
A week of FUN just for girls ages 7-13! This camp will keep girls engaged with a different theme everyday! Campers will participate in putting, chipping, and full swing activities, with added art, STEM, and healthy living activities sprinkled in!
Golf & Grit (Previous Golf Experience Required)
Open exclusively to golfers with experience ages 10 – 18. At Golf & GRIT, participants will encounter putting, chipping and full swing challenges, while also testing their composure and problem-solving on the course. This camp is geared for older participants; all kids must be able to walk and carry their golf bag for 9-holes, as they will be playing the course multiple days during the camp week.

Refund and Transfers

Refunds are no longer offered. Yes, you may request a session transfer, but we cannot guarantee availability and requests must be made two (2) weeks in advance from the currently registered session or camp starting date.
Participant Attendance
Attendance is a key component to the success, development, and progression of the First Tee program.
As part of our week long summer camp series, participants are expected to attend all program dates. We ask that while reviewing our schedule, you choose to register for a program that your kiddo can commit to for the full week.
Program space is limited and out of respect and courtesy for fellow participants, volunteers, and organizers, it is important to commit to the schedule.
Age Requirements
First Tee – Sandhills is open to all juniors between the ages of 5 to seniors in high school. Participants must be the minimum age required for camp by June 30, 2025 to participate.
Registration Fees
When registering online, the registration fee must be paid via credit card. If you wish to pay by check or cash, you must stop by the office to make your payment and complete registration. Space will not be held for incomplete registration forms.
3 Hour Camps – $100
4 Hour Camps – $125
STEM Field Trip Camps – $150
Scholarships
Scholarships are available based on your families requested need of support.
All scholarship participants will be afforded the same opportunities for participation as non-scholarship participants. We ask that only cases of necessity apply. One (1) scholarship request per participant, per season.
To apply for a scholarship, you must complete your request online as part of the official registration process. Your participant’s spot will be held while the scholarship request is reviewed.
Once the chapter is able to review your request, you will be notified on the level of scholarship provided and alerted to complete registration and confirm your child’s spot in the program. You will have 48 hours from the time the email is sent to complete registration. After the 48 hour period, your child’s spot will no longer be reserved.
Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of inclement or possible inclement weather, a decision regarding the cancellation of programming will be made at minimally 90 minutes before the scheduled start time.
An email will be sent to the address on file and follow us on social media for the most up-to-date announcements.
Equipment & Attire
First Tee – Sandhills will provide equipment free of charge for use during our weekly curriculum programs for those that do not have their own. We will ensure that borrowed equipment meets the needs of your participant and is the correct size.
Participants are asked to wear golf or athletic attire that is weather appropriate. This includes appropriate length shorts or slacks, shirts with sleeves and tucked in, tennis or flat soled closed toe shoes.
